I'm loving fall. its been cold and raining, on the account of all the tropical storms. But still it's gorgeous. It makes me want to buy a whole new wardrobe. and i think i just might.
i was watching my one of my favorite movies yesterday, and even though I've seen this movie a thousand times, i was still mesmerized by the wardrobe.
i decided to compile a list of my best-dressed characters.
originally it was going to be solely for cinema, but i could resist the urge to throw one television character in.
so here's my top five...
April; Definitely Maybe
Not only do i LOVE LOVE LOVE her character, but her style is so effortless. She wears mostly dark colors which i love. The best part of this is that the movie is set in the 90's, and yet she looks so today, yet i can still see that she is living in the 90's.
Summer; 500 days of Summer
Yeah okay, its a little trite at this point. But honestly, I just cant deny the fact that I dont love every outfit worn in the movie. I love the sky blue color and how they try to integrate it into every outfit.
Sookie Stackhouse; True Blood
She spends the majority of her time entertaining gorgeous vamps so it's no wonder she'd want to look her best. I don't know if I'd ever be able to achieve the Sookie Stackhouse best though, every moment of every day no matter who is chasing to kill her she's wearing either a gorgeous vintage floral print or lavender gown that fits to perfection. No wonder she's vampire crack.
The Lisbon Sisters; The Virgin Suicides
Another obvious choice, but it would be a shame to ignore something so significant based on it being obvious. Living in floral nightgowns is a dream of mine, being held captive in your house by your parents, not exactly. Its not just the clothes that speak to me, but the clothes help transport me to the dreamy world that the Lisbon sisters live in.
Marie Antoinette; Marie Antoinette
Pearls, paisley and pink, these are some of my favorite things, and this movie has them all. Not everything is about being wearable. Sometimes you just have to stand back and admire. And that is what I do while watching this movie, admire.
honorable mentions:
Tibby; Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
